Hi, I’m Jessica Wurn.

OWNER/PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

A woman with blonde hair tied in a top knot, wearing a cream-colored short-sleeve top with black trim, a floral skirt, and orange flats, is sitting on a vintage wooden stool in front of a decorative table with a geometric pattern. She is smiling and holding a magazine. Behind her, there is a large framed painting of two women in vintage dresses and a white wall with a doorway. On the table, there are books and a white vase with green foliage.

As a Southern California native with a background rooted in studio art and nearly two decades of experience as an art educator in Costa Mesa, I bring a unique perspective to every design project. My path began with studying art at UC Santa Barbara and exploring the architectural history of Europe before eventually leading me down to San Diego, and finally to the beaches of Orange County. Teaching has not only fueled my creative spirit but has also refined my expertise in project management and collaborative listening, ensuring that every Studio Jesso project is as organized as it is inspired.

Transitioning into interior design allowed me to bring my love for art into the physical home. I’ve always believed that our living environments have a profound impact on how we feel and live. Through Studio Jesso, I partner with clients to translate their unique styles into curated spaces that perfectly balance beauty with everyday function.

I view interior design as a form of installation art, drawing inspiration from nature, art history, set design, and architecture. My aesthetic leans toward eclectic, colorful compositions that feel both custom and inviting. While I keep a pulse on current trends, I am constantly looking to the past for timeless elements, and then mixing and matching them in fresh ways to ensure your home feels uniquely yours.
